Delivery Information
This page explains how Sewing‑Sanctuary processes and delivers orders. The delivery methods, destinations and charges available for your order will also be displayed at checkout before you place your order.
Dispatch times
We normally aim to dispatch orders within one to three working days, subject to stock availability.
Where products are in stock, orders placed from Tuesday to Friday are usually dispatched within one working day. Orders placed during the weekend or on a Monday will be processed from the next working day.
We will contact you if an item is unavailable or if we expect a significant delay.
UK delivery
Standard UK orders are normally sent using Royal Mail. Customers can select from the available 1st Class and 2nd Class options at checkout.
Royal Mail currently aims to deliver:
- 1st Class items on the next working day after dispatch.
- 2nd Class items within two to three working days after dispatch.
These are Royal Mail delivery aims rather than guaranteed delivery dates. The standard Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Class services used by Sewing‑Sanctuary are not normally tracked.
Delivery charges are calculated according to the weight of the order and are displayed at checkout.
Free UK delivery
Free standard UK delivery is currently available on qualifying orders with a basket value of £50 or more before coupon discounts are applied.
Any free-delivery option applicable to your order will be shown at checkout.
Larger and wholesale orders
Larger or wholesale orders may be sent using an alternative carrier, including UPS, DHL, DPD or FedEx.
These orders are normally tracked. Where tracking is provided, Sewing‑Sanctuary will send the tracking number to the customer when the order is dispatched.
Selected European destinations
We currently deliver to the following selected European destinations:
Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Ireland, Italy, Jersey, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.
Delivery charges are calculated according to the weight of the order and are displayed at checkout.
Delivery times vary according to the destination, carrier and customs arrangements. Any delivery estimate is indicative and cannot be guaranteed.
USA delivery
We currently deliver to the United States of America. Available delivery charges are calculated according to the weight of the order and are displayed at checkout.

Customs charges and import taxes
Orders delivered outside the United Kingdom may be subject to import VAT, customs duties, local taxes or carrier handling charges.
Unless we expressly state otherwise, these charges are not included in the product price or delivery charge paid to Sewing‑Sanctuary. They are the responsibility of the recipient.
Customs procedures may delay an international delivery. Sewing‑Sanctuary cannot control customs processing times or charges imposed by customs authorities or delivery carriers.

Collection hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10am–4pm.
Please do not travel to collect your order until we have emailed you to confirm that it is ready. Please bring your order confirmation with you when collecting.
Delivery addresses
Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address when placing your order.
If delivery is delayed or fails because the address supplied was incorrect or incomplete, nobody was available to receive the parcel, or the carrier’s instructions were not followed, we may charge reasonable additional delivery, redelivery or storage costs where permitted by law.
Delivery delays
We will deliver your order within 30 days after the contract is formed unless a different period has been agreed with you.

Your legal rights may include the right to cancel where delivery by an agreed date was essential, or where we fail to deliver within a reasonable additional period requested by you.
